Our Campus team delivers the planning, pipelining, experience, and staffing execution supporting Verizon’s campus talent acquisition strategy. As a the Sr. Manager, University Relations & Campus Ambassador, you will be providing strategic relationships and operational leadership for campus relations efforts. You will be responsible for driving academic relationships with both core schools and campuses that align with our workforce plan hub execution goals. You’ll actively partner with the Campus Execution team and business to develop and execute university relationship strategies for internships, Co-Ops full-time roles, and leadership development program opportunities that support and demonstrate our belief that people are our most important asset.
You will be leading a team of University Relations recruiters and our Campus Ambassador Program that will bring in the next group of talented, driven individuals that make Verizon a great place to work. Creating relationship strategies bother internally and externally, ensuring alignment with workforce plans in conjunction with HR business partners, and hiring managers, while considering brand ambassador teams and career services input.
Developing and executing University Relationship strategy (Events, Executive Presence, In the classroom, Practicums, etc.).
Managing external relationships with Universities (inclusive of Community Colleges, Four-year colleges, and Masters & MBA Institutions) to ensure strong academic partnership relationships.
Strong partnership and communication across Verizon’s US brand ambassador teams to drive campus talent acquisition strategy.
Managing day-to-day activity of University Relations and Ambassador teams to meet campus hiring goals in a timely manner, with a focus on quality and compliance.
Influence branding strategy and identify multiple access points to reach students at selected schools
Promote University Relations programming through various advertising channels and social media such as university career sites, campus organizations, LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, blogs, etc.
Build relationships with national and local student groups.
Oversee University Relations data: responsible for recording and managing data and feedback tied to early career programs
Manage virtual & in-person events, including but not limited to career fairs, presentations, workshops, and seminars.
Deliver university recruitment presentations for internal & external audiences.
Manage and interact with a database of early career talent to create pipelines for internship and early career opportunities.
Assist campus recruiters with overarching program functions and funnel talent to their open requisitions.
Leading, motivating, and inspiring your team to deliver impactful results.
Measuring the ongoing effectiveness of University Relations strategies, tracking and sharing metrics with key partners such as Event ROI.
Acting as an SME and consultant to international campus counterparts.
Ensuring team compliance with process and standards.

You’ll need to have:
Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience..
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Three or more years of proven experience developing University programs and relationships.
Two or more years of experience leading a team.
Two or more years of experience using data insights and analytics to determine business recommendations.
Willingness to travel up to approximately 50% of the time.
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
A degree.
Four or more years of experience in the campus recruitment process.
Knowledge of Handshake, Ripplematch, WayUp/Yello, NACE.
Exercised effective consulting, influencing, and negotiating skills.
