    The Job

    The Public Relations / Communications Specialist will manage the creation and delivery of innovative external communications that build and protect the company's brand and reputation.

    The Public Relations Communications Specialist will be responsible for managing the day-to-day public relations and communications strategy for All Access Equipment. They will write, edit, and drive content production for web, email, print, publication, and social media release. As part of the marketing team, they will have a strong voice in the delivery of All Access Equipment’s corporate and brand messaging.


    Job Responsibilities

    This will include but is not limited to:


    • Prepare, write, and compose all corporate communication to the public, communication to customers, and communication to the media & press, such as announcements, press releases, company statements, newsletters, social media posts, and more.


    • Find editorial opportunities and produce content that supports current marketing campaigns and strategic initiatives.

    • Establish and maintain relationships with local and national media outlets, both industry and community-specific.

    • Work closely with other departments to gather information for content to be produced.

    • Serve as the initial point of contact for media inquiries, fielding requests in cooperation with company leadership.

    • Manage and guide work with external public relations firms, including targeted media campaigns and crisis communication as necessary.

    • Reach out and work with publications to feature editorial pieces, company statements, product announcements, and more to maximize companies exposure.

    • Some website management as needed.

    • Other duties as assigned on the marketing team.


    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or Public Relations


    • 3 - 5 years of Communications, PR & Social Media experience

    • Previous experience with the press and paid media advertising

    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Strong grammar, vocabulary, and persuasive writing, etc.

    • Demonstrated ability to write relevant and compelling content for print, web, social media, etc.

    • Advanced understanding of social media platforms – Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.

    • Top-notch copy writing and editing skills


    Desired Qualifications:


    • Solid understanding of today’s media environment


    • Exceptional interpersonal skills

    • Excellent problem-solving skills and resourcefulness

    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.

    • Proven ability to develop, implement and execute campaigns.

    • Proficient in Google Suite. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

    • Able to multitask and work on more than one project at a time.

    • Motivation to work in a highly collaborative environment.

    • Proficiency in LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter is desired.

    • Prior experience working with media and journalists preferred

    • Experience working with Content Management Systems such as: Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, etc.

    • Ability to make skillful decisions related to public relations and communications.

    • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

    • Courteous presentation and phone skills required.

    • Comfort speaking to groups of varying sizes and backgrounds.

    • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail with the ability to meet daily deadlines.

    • Ability and motivation to seek out editorial and press opportunities and submit editorial pieces.


    Education:


    • Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Marketing, Journalism, Communications or related fields
