Qualifications
The Sr. Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for assisting with, and/or leading, the development, implementation, and administration of various employee/management relations-related projects and activities, including: supporting staff with policy clarification and resolution of concerns; partnering with management on performance management and improvement activities; assisting with the development and delivery of supervisory and leadership development training; and other activities that support the performance and culture initiatives of Horizon.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration/management, human resources, organization development, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience with responsibility for human resources, organization development, employee relations, and/or performance improvement functions, including 2 years of experience conducting internal investigations and/or resolving employee relations issues.
- Solid understanding of human resource and organization management theory, concepts, best practices, and procedures.
- Able to travel occasionally to outlying Arizona sites/offices.
- Valid Arizona driver’s license and safe driving record.
- Subject to fingerprint clearance and background check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Human Resources/Organization Development or equivalent education/experience in relevant area.
- Experience in healthcare environment.
