Position Objective:
When it comes to our own Goodwill employees, we are falling short in realizing our vision as stated above. In particular, our retail employees face significant life challenges, such as food insecurity, housing instability, transportation access, childcare services, mental health support, and skill development barriers.
We aim to serve our employees as well as we serve our community so they can thrive in all aspects of life. Doing so will also help our Goodwill organization improve employee recruitment, retention, skill development, performance, and advancement. This is a new position with the opportunity to create and launch a new program to address a critical need of our organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The primary responsibility of the Employee Community Resource Coordinator is to help our retail employees thrive in all aspects of life by providing them with information and access to life resources in the community and within our Goodwill mission programs and services. This includes the following specific responsibilities and other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Not required for this position.
Cultural Competency: Ability to work in a diverse organization. Ability to work on a team and willingness to roll up one's sleeves to get the job done.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret hard data and metrics. Ability to write creatively and articulately with an emphasis on tact and diplomacy. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra when working on spreadsheets. Ability to create and manage departmental budget.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge Microsoft Office products, specifically Word and Excel and PowerPoint.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Washington State Driver's License required

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear and type. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. There will be travel required to our store locations.
