    Summary/Objective
    As Business Development Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the team to identify, pursue, and capture new opportunities within the Department of Defense sector. You will assist in various aspects of the business development process, including market research, pricing strategies, proposal development, and customer relationship management in order to expand NOVA’s portfolio of business in the market areas of DoD and other Federal agencies.

    Essential Functions

    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities within the Department of Defense sector, including gathering intelligence on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities.
    • Assist in the preparation and submission of proposals in response to requests for proposals (RFPs) and other solicitations, including coordinating with internal teams to gather necessary information and ensure timely submission.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of business development activities, including tracking opportunities, pipeline status, and competitor analysis, using CRM software (e.g., GovWin).
    • Vet new clients (pre-acquisition) to ensure “right fit” (i.e. alignment with culture, services, and goals).
    • Provide the team with regular reports on new or on-going opportunities and various revenue metrics.
    • Lead opportunity Gate Reviews and evaluate opportunities based on several business factors.
    • Support the development of marketing materials, presentations, and other collateral to promote NOVA's capabilities and offerings to prospective customers.
    • Assist in the planning and execution of industry days, trade shows, and conferences to showcase NOVA Technologies’ capabilities and establish networking opportunities.
    • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and other interactions with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to advance business development initiatives.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic business development plans.
    • Pursue partners for teaming arrangements and lead capture meetings.
    • Stay informed about changes in government regulations, policies, and procurement processes relevant to the Department of Defense market and provide updates to the team.
    • Other duties as required.
    Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
    • 4-12 years of experience within the defense or aerospace industry in a technical capacity.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Experience with CRM software (e.g., GovWin) is preferred but not required.

    Work Environment, Programs, and Tools

    This position operates in a professional remote environment and requires individual to type, sit, stand, talk, and listen.
    Required knowledge of the following tools, equipment, and programs includes computers, phones, copier/scanner/fax, Microsoft Office Suite.

    Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

    This position is located in Tampa, FL with a hybrid work from home/on-site schedule. This opportunity allows the employee to work at a designated office or job site as needed (1-2 days per week) and otherwise allows recurring telework.
    Core Business Hours: M-F; 8:30am - 4:30pm EST FLEX
    Frequent visits with onsite leadership and customer personnel will require adherence to Government site hours of operation.
    This position is full time salaried exempt, expected to work no less than 80 hours a payroll period. This position may require evening/weekend work and work outside of the typical work hours as needed.

    Travel

    Must be willing and able to travel. Travel is expected about 10% a year.

    Security Clearance
    Eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
