Employee Services Director directs the selection, design, and implementation of employee engagement programs geared to attract and retain employees and promote a healthy and productive work environment. Evaluates programs focused on work-life, child care, fitness, discounts, remote working, education, training, and others to provide options that engage employees. Being an Employee Services Director develops processes to analyze and assess program utilization, employee feedback, competitiveness, and workforce productivity to ensure that a cost-effective mix of programs is offered. Designs policies and procedures to promote efficiency and optimize administrative hours to control costs. Additionally, Employee Services Director researches and remains up to date with evolving changes in the employee experience space to identify areas to improve employee engagement and work experience. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Employee Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Employee Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Description

    Duotech seeks an experienced Director of Operations responsible for overseeing Manufacturing and Repairs Operations and Program Management for successful execution of contract obligations with attention to cost, schedule and performance goals in support of the overarching goals of the company. Reports to the Vice President of Operations. Expected travel is less than 5%.

    Required Skills:

    • Over 8-10 years experience minimum in managing/leading duties listed above in defense industry products and services
    • Proven experience leading teams of individuals across functional areas to success
    • Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills
    • Understand and implement Risk Management principles
    • Function as support to a Corporate Officer
    • Familiarity working in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
    • Experience in preparing metrics and measurements to support leadership, including a Board of Directors, in areas of responsibility

    Desired Skills:

    • Strong attention to strategy, implementation, delegation, and follow-up
    • Working technical knowledge of defense-related products in general and electronics and avionics in particular, such as RF systems and aircraft avionics/sensors
    • Experience in Export Control, ITAR, and FAR/DFAR requirements and implementation
    • Either a Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or demonstrated experience leading Program Managers

    Daily and Monthly Responsibilities:

    • Work closely with customers, cross-functional teams, management, and assigned personnel to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for required deliverables
    • Drive growth in assigned business areas to increase efficiencies and throughput
    • Manage program and project teams for optimal return on investment and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
    • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors
    • Develop and manage budget for projects and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
    • Work with managers and other executives to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within assigned responsibilities
    • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks and produce program reports for management and stakeholders

    COMMUNICATION SKILLS:

    The individual must be capable of preparing and presenting detailed reports and presentations to management, vendors and customers, thus a high level of competence in both written and spoken English is required.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

    The individual must be competent in mathematics necessary to perform the required calculations and to be able to understand technical papers and discussions.

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    The individual shall be capable of working with Microsoft products (Windows, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint and Teams).

    CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

    No other special certificates, licenses, or registrations are required. However, the individual will be required to pass certifications relative to the job if required. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The individual must be capable of carrying equipment up to 30 pounds for reasonable distances, operate electrical test equipment and environmental test equipment, able to type on a computer keyboard and to use a computer mouse or other suitable pointing device, and travel in automobiles or common air carriers for travel purposes.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    The primary work environment shall be in an office and manufacturing floor. The individual may be required to travel both within the US and throughout the world, and may be subject to a wide variety of work environments, to include travel to areas that are desert, tropical, mountainous, etc.

    SECURITY CLEARANCE:

    The individual may be required to apply for, and receive, a security clearance issued by the United States Department of Defense. Employment, therefore, may be subject to obtaining and maintaining a clearance with United States Government.

    Bachelor’s degree preferred in an area of relevance to the Company
