Employee Services Director directs the selection, design, and implementation of employee engagement programs geared to attract and retain employees and promote a healthy and productive work environment. Evaluates programs focused on work-life, child care, fitness, discounts, remote working, education, training, and others to provide options that engage employees. Being an Employee Services Director develops processes to analyze and assess program utilization, employee feedback, competitiveness, and workforce productivity to ensure that a cost-effective mix of programs is offered. Designs policies and procedures to promote efficiency and optimize administrative hours to control costs. Additionally, Employee Services Director researches and remains up to date with evolving changes in the employee experience space to identify areas to improve employee engagement and work experience. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Employee Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Employee Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Director of Pre-College Services

  • The Director of Pre-College Services position is responsible for coordinating institution-wide programming designed to support pre-college students. This position will also lead the AU Gateway Experience, a unique pathway to admission to the Andrews University main campus for students who do not meet regular admission requirements. The position will also serve pre-college and high school communities in an effort to grow services offered to local communities and the North American Division.

    Qualifications summary

    Education: Master’s degree

    Experience: Must have experience with a variety of student services, including enrollment, academic advising and pre-college populations. Preference giving to applicants with additional experience working with high school students.

    Interpersonal skills: Must have excellent communication skills and work well with diverse groups of students, faculty and community members.


    Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.

    Duties and responsibilities

    Pre-College Services

    • Advise and support all high school students enrolled in Andrews University Courses

    • Participate in recruitment efforts.

    • Liaison with Lake Union and local public high schools

    • Manage websites, social media and marketing campaigns associated with precollege programming.

    • Participate in UG Education office summer programming.


    AU Gateway Experience

    • Coordinate and manage all aspects of the program, including the summer bridge and support services

    • Supervise academic coaches and peer mentors

    • Teach a college-readiness/skill-building course online and face-to-face

    • Manage the budget for the AU Gateway Program

    • Serve as the Chair of the AU Gateway Admissions Committee

    • Member, Undergraduate Admissions Committee


    Supervisory responsibilities

    Position will supervise support staff and student workers.

This position must be available for evening and weekend work. All applicants must have a driver's license with a clean driving record.
