Employee Services Director directs the selection, design, and implementation of employee engagement programs geared to attract and retain employees and promote a healthy and productive work environment. Evaluates programs focused on work-life, child care, fitness, discounts, remote working, education, training, and others to provide options that engage employees. Being an Employee Services Director develops processes to analyze and assess program utilization, employee feedback, competitiveness, and workforce productivity to ensure that a cost-effective mix of programs is offered. Designs policies and procedures to promote efficiency and optimize administrative hours to control costs. Additionally, Employee Services Director researches and remains up to date with evolving changes in the employee experience space to identify areas to improve employee engagement and work experience. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Employee Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Employee Services Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Compensation: $69K to 85K (DOE)

    A little about the role: A work-from-home opportunity with occasional travel to clients.  In this role, you will be an expert on employee benefits and the primary point of contact for clients while maintaining high client and internal team satisfaction. The Account Manager will assist Client Partners & Principals in coordinating the details for the annual renewal, preparing materials for quarterly client meetings, ensuring the flow of information to other departments as needed, maintaining client databases, records management, project-specific assignments, and other responsibilities in support of client satisfaction as assigned.

    What will you do?
    • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building and maintaining strong relationships and managing employee benefits administration, assisting current and new clients with benefits questions, claims, and billing issues to a successful resolution.
    • Escalate issues to the appropriate level if necessary.
    • Coordinate the Request for Proposal (RFP) process on behalf of a client.
    • Manage and coordinate the pre-renewal and renewal process.
    • Develops positive client relationships by being a point of contact for assigned clients and maintaining open communication lines.
    • Organize and participate as needed in client presentations, including employee enrollment meetings.
    • Lead the process for plan enrollment, including employee communication, case submission, and plan implementation, and follow up to a successful conclusion.
    • Serve as a resource to clients on current markets, industry information, and underwriting.
    • Maintain documentation and system updates necessary for ongoing record keeping and client management.
    • Create marketing materials for clients, benefits presentations, open enrollment, and client communications.
    • Model employee benefits contributions to meet employer objectives and analyze benefits and monthly benefit reconciliations for clients.
    • Conduct open enrollment and client meetings virtually and in person when possible.
    • Cross-train on compensation administration.
    • Assist with other duties as assigned.
    To Succeed, you should have this education and experience:
    • An associate or bachelor’s degree in business, communication, or another related field is preferred.
    • Must have or obtain aPHR within 1st year of employment.
    • Must have small to mid size group support.
    • Demonstrated understanding of insurance carrier administrative processes and procedures, with experience serving as an advocate for clients and/or employees in resolving administration and claims-related issues
    • 3 years’ experience in customer service, proposal development, or account management in an employee benefit setting. Experience working with employers is a plus.
    • Current and valid Life and Health licensure or obtained before hire.

    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable.
    • Excellent listening and demonstrated client service skills.
    • Comfortable working independently in a virtual office; proactive in asking questions and asking for help when needed.
    • Proficient skills in Google and Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Outlook) are required.
    • Intermediate to Advanced MS Excel is required (assessment testing may be required).As example: Pivot tables, complex formulas, manage worksheets/workbooks, slicers, etc.
