Employee Services Director directs the selection, design, and implementation of employee engagement programs geared to attract and retain employees and promote a healthy and productive work environment. Evaluates programs focused on work-life, child care, fitness, discounts, remote working, education, training, and others to provide options that engage employees. Being an Employee Services Director develops processes to analyze and assess program utilization, employee feedback, competitiveness, and workforce productivity to ensure that a cost-effective mix of programs is offered. Designs policies and procedures to promote efficiency and optimize administrative hours to control costs. Additionally, Employee Services Director researches and remains up to date with evolving changes in the employee experience space to identify areas to improve employee engagement and work experience. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to senior management. The Employee Services Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. The Employee Relations Director role is responsible for providing strategic as well as hands-on support to the entire STEP team in all areas of Employee Relations including recruitment, onboarding, retention, policy creation and training, and overall HR compliance. You will be the advocate for a positive employee experience and culture by having full responsibility for building and implementing policies and procedures that are fair and consistent, and proactively seeking out employee relations and compliance related issues through site visits, coaching, and education of our team. This is a Director level position and you will work with STEP leadership to provide input on employee relations matters to help make strategic organizational decisions. A successful candidate will demonstrate organizational acumen and an understanding of how employee relations impact the entire organization.
Minimum requirements for this position include: Bachelor’s Degree or above in Human Resources, understanding of employment law, at least 5-7 years of experience with developing and implementing Employee Relations strategies, excellent customer service skills, strong collaboration skills, and flexibility. Professional certification in Human Resources required.
