Employee Services Director directs the selection, design, and implementation of employee engagement programs geared to attract and retain employees and promote a healthy and productive work environment. Evaluates programs focused on work-life, child care, fitness, discounts, remote working, education, training, and others to provide options that engage employees. Being an Employee Services Director develops processes to analyze and assess program utilization, employee feedback, competitiveness, and workforce productivity to ensure that a cost-effective mix of programs is offered. Designs policies and procedures to promote efficiency and optimize administrative hours to control costs. Crescent Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, located in scenic Bennington, VT, is actively seeking an experienced Director of Environmental Services for our skilled nursing facility.
Qualifications •Must have a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity, in an environmental service -related position (Housekeeping, Laundry, Maintenance) in a skilled nursing facility handling the upkeep, repair and maintenance of electrical, plumbing, and structural matters, including HVAC systems. •Must have knowledge of proper housekeeping and laundry practices and procedures, as well as the laws, regulations and guidelines governing maintenance functions in a skilled nursing facility.
Responsibilities •Responsible for planning, organizing, developing, and directing the operation of the facility’s maintenance, housekeeping and laundry departments to maintain proper operation of the nursing home. •Responsible for communication and coordination with the staff and scheduling for the maintenance, housekeeping and laundry departments to maintain proper operation of the physical plant and laundry services. •Responsible for the overall cleanliness, sanitation, safety, and organization of the physical plant of the facility •Performs general maintenance work (light electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.) and can operate and maintain HVAC equipment •Assures that the facility and all equipment are properly maintained for resident comfort and convenience and conducts daily inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to determine necessary maintenance and repairs •Maintains knowledge of the federal and state laws applicable to skilled nursing facilities including the state’s fire safety code; ensures and maintains regulatory compliance with all such regulations |
