Employee Services Manager manages the selection, design, and implementation of employee engagement programs geared to attract and retain employees and promote a healthy and productive work environment. Administers programs focused on work-life, child care, fitness, discounts, remote working, education, training, and others to provide options that engage employees. Being an Employee Services Manager analyzes and assesses program utilization, employee feedback, competitiveness, and workforce productivity to ensure that a cost-effective mix of programs is offered. APSI (Advocacy & Protective Services, Inc.) is a statewide, private, non-profit agency dedicated to protecting the rights of Ohioans, age 18 or older with developmental disabilities by providing a full array of guardianship and protective services to individuals. We advocate for individuals with the highest level of needs, primarily through person only guardianship and by helping to make their desires and needs known. As a guardian, APSI has the authority to make decisions of a personal nature on behalf of the individual including medical and dental treatment, adverse interventions & strategies, work, residential placement and quality of life decisions.
Job Summary
The Protective Services Representative On Duty acts as case manager to provide daily and crisis support to persons represented by APSI through guardianship and less restrictive support services. This position provides advocacy, informed consent, and decision-making to achieve outcomes that support each person’s best interest balanced with health, safety, and welfare needs and for supports APSI services in a manner consistent with APSI Mission, Vision, and Values. The position may assist in developing and providing organizational tools and assists in the overall achievement of APSI Strategic Plan goals and objectives. This position does not provide direct services except for protective services.
This position will provide consent and support for persons served by APSI as the office protective services representative on duty. This position responds to calls from people served by APSI, their providers, their medical practitioners, county board staff, and others. This position will also be responsible for completing court forms, updating the APSI database, and other duties as appropriate.
This position does not have a caseload and will not be responsible for working in the field.
This position requires the APSI staff to be in the office 100 % of the time.
