Overview:
The Administrator manages the church office and facilities, provides administrative support to staff and ministry leaders, serves as receptionist to the congregation and community, and acts as the hub of all communications.
Responsibilities:
-Serve as the office receptionist, greeting people and answering the phone, distributing mail and maintaining office mailboxes, and maintaining office supplies and office equipment
-Maintain all hard-copy and digital records and the master calendar
-Maintain all membership databases, tracking worship attendance, corresponding with visitors, updating member information, and producing membership directories
-Prepare all church publications, including worship bulletins, the weekly e-news, stewardship materials, new member packets, and other publications as needed
-Maintain the church website and keep it updated
-Assist with administrative financial tasks, such as financial data entry, payment of recurring invoices, setting up new electronic recurring payees, processing vouchers, issuing hard copy checks, maintaining the church credit card, and preparing financial reports as needed
-Perform administrative tasks related to the upkeep of church building and grounds, including processing facility use agreements, disbursing and maintaining records of keys, maintaining contracts with custodians and other contractors/vendors, monitoring facility needs, and getting immediate help for repair emergencies when needed
Experience:
-Proficiency in Microsoft Office
-Excellent computer, organizational, time management, and written/verbal communication skills
-Proficiency in database management and record keeping
-Knowledge of standard office equipment and its use
