Job Description:
Perform onboarding of newly hired employees. Conduct Exit interviews, process receipt of property, provide necessary separation paperwork, complete termination processes. Serve as back-up for the recruiter. Assist with the annual performance review process, performance management and projects. Perform HR related administrative tasks including, but not limited to, maintaining electronic and paper employee data files, spreadsheets, query reports, benefit administration, salary and position/title changes and leaves of absence. Run reports for assessment, IPEDS and in-house surveys. Data entry of changes into the HRIS system and participate and conduct audits.
Manages and administers health and retirement plans - including open enrollments, employee level enrollments, changes, terminations, reconciliation, and compliance. Act as liaison between insurance companies, the College, and its employees. Review billing and reconciliation of invoices. Manages additional College benefit programs such as Family Medical Leave, MA Paid Family Medical Leave, Tuition Remission, Tuition Exchange, Long-Term Disability, unemployment claims, etc. Record all worker compensation injuries and submit to third-party as necessary. Serve as point of contact and administrator for all employee benefits and leaves of absence.
Collaborate with the Payroll Department to assure accurate compensation information.
Ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance
Cross-train in other HR functions and provide back-up for those functions as needed.
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, and employment laws affecting human resources functions.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Required Field of Expertise: 3-5 years previous experience working in a fast paced human resources office with a concentration in benefits and leave administration
Preferred Field of Expertise: Experience in higher education setting preferred but not necessary
Preferred Training/Cert: HRCI or SHRM certification preferred

Work Schedule
This is an exempt, benefits level position, not limited to 35 hours. Normal business hours are Mondays through Fridays, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, flexible to the needs of the department.
