James E. Lee II, PC is a well-established small personal injury firm located in Macon, GA. We are determined to provide our clients with exceptional legal representation by maximizing their recovery for their cases. We are looking for a law clerk or associate attorney who can multi-task working on several projects which include client intake, research, demand packages, pleadings, and discovery among other duties. New and experienced attorneys are encouraged to apply. No personal injury experience is required.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct legal research and analysis on various legal issues

- Assist attorney in preparing for hearings, trials, and depositions

- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs

- Review and analyze documents for case preparation

- Organize and maintain case files and documents

- Attend court proceedings and take notes as needed

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field

- Previous experience as a Law Clerk is preferred but not required

- Strong research and analytical skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis

- Familiarity with document review and management software

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

Skills:

- Litigate: Ability to assist attorney in preparing for litigation, including conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, and attending court proceedings.

- Write: Strong writing skills to draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.

- Analyze: Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide recommendations based on research findings.

- Research: Proficient in conducting thorough legal research using various resources to gather relevant information.

- Document review: Experience in reviewing and analyzing legal documents for case preparation.

- Legal drafting: Ability to draft accurate and concise legal documents based on research findings.

- Legal research: Proficient in conducting comprehensive legal research using various resources.
