Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our personal injury team. The Legal Assistant will provide support to our legal team by managing legal cases, and assisting with document management. The ideal candidate will have strong clerical skills and a solid understanding of legal processes.
Duties:
- Request Medical Records
- Manage and organize legal cases, including maintaining case files and tracking deadlines
- Assist with drafting legal documents, including pleadings, contracts, and correspondence
- Prepare and file legal documents with the appropriate courts or agencies
- Maintain document management systems to ensure accurate and efficient retrieval of information
- Perform general clerical duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and managing calendars
- Assist with data entry and record keeping
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a pesonal injury Legal Assistant
- Strong knowledge of legal case management and document management systems
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all work performed
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
