BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The purpose of this position is to enforce swimming regulations and provide life-saving services. This is accomplished by observing swimmers, enforcing rules and regulations, providing life-saving services, and participating in maintenance of the facility. Other duties include teaching swim lessons, life guarding during rentals, and completing related duties as assigned.

LICENSING REQUIREMENTS:
American Red Cross or YMCA Lifeguard Certification. CPR and 1st Aid.
Red Cross Lifeguard Certification will be provided at an nominal fee for individuals offered employment.
Individuals who successfully complete the certification and maintain employment through the end of pool season will be reimbursed this cost.
