Energy Dispatch Director directs the real-time operations of energy dispatch centers. Responsible for ongoing transmission and distribution of energy. Being an Energy Dispatch Director aware of generation expectations and is responsible for minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency and economy. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Energy Dispatch Director demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a top management. The Energy Dispatch Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Energy Dispatch Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Energy Efficiency Analyst

  • The Energy Efficiency Auditor exists to identify and implement efficiency measures to MPC’s residential or commercial customers in order to achieve the Company’s strategic objective of implementing energy efficiency programs as part of the overall portfolio. This position provides energy guidance from on-site audits and makes equipment recommendations to upgrade customer efficiency. These positions will work closely with the program managers to identify customer campaigns and recruit and assist vendors/contractors in implementing MPC’s EE measures. Additionally, the position will track energy and demand reductions that result from these programs to help the company meet its cost effectiveness and regulatory reporting targets. Support of various other initiatives will also be expected in this position.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS :

    • Degree in Business, Construction Technology, or related strongly preferred

    • Minimum 2-years’ experience working with residential or commercial energy efficiency programs or other similar construction/building-related industry strongly preferred

    • Ability to perform on-site audits and meetings in various customer environments

    • Ability to evaluate and explain basic energy mathematics and behavioral metrics

    • Ability to work self-directed

    • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively internally and externally across varying knowledge levels

    • Demonstrate ability to assist with recruiting and coordinating programs with external contractors

    • Excellent interpersonal and sales skills; oral and written communication and computer skills

    • Demonstrated ability to plan campaigns, schedule appointments, maintain and track data – customers, incentives, contractors, program goals

    • Ability to maintain a budget and general understanding of MPC’s energy efficiency cost effectiveness goals

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Identify and prioritize energy saving measures in various customer settings, recognizing customer types and priorities

    • Collect and analyze field data related to energy usage; maintain accurate records for reporting purposes

    • Educate customers on energy efficiency or answer questions on topics such as the operational cost for equipment; be prepared to offer alternative high-efficiency options when applicable

    • Assess the simple ROI of products, projects, or services – identify electrification opportunities when appropriate

    • Recognize building load shapes to show annual or monthly needs for heating, cooling, lighting, or other energy needs

    • Recognize and understand building envelope types, various mechanical, electrical or process systems; analyze technical feasibility of energy saving measures using knowledge of engineering, energy production, energy use, construction, maintenance, system operation, or process systems

    • Manage in the designated territory, both the MPC’s Home Energy Improvement Program and the Select Home Energy Program effectively, for residential customers; or the Commercial 100/500 programs, for commercial customers

    • Prepare audit reports containing energy analysis results or recommendations for energy cost savings – become proficient in delivering these to customers to produce results

    • Post-inspect/audit facilities or equipment when required to ensure specifications are met

    • Correspond with customers in a timely manner to answer questions or resolve complaints

    • Advise others on business or operational matters, internally and externally

    • Analyze energy bills including utility rates or tariffs to gather historical energy usage data

    TRAVEL:

    • Up to 80% day travel within territory. Occasional overnight travel.
