Energy Dispatch Director directs the real-time operations of energy dispatch centers. Responsible for ongoing transmission and distribution of energy. Being an Energy Dispatch Director aware of generation expectations and is responsible for minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency and economy. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Energy Dispatch Director demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a top management. The Energy Dispatch Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Energy Dispatch Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     The Opportunity with McKinstry

    We are currently seeking a Regional Director to join our team as a member of our growing Energy division.     • Lead your regional ESCO Team.
    • Build and maintain relationships within industry leaders, associations and organizations.
    • Develop and execute strategic and tactical business plans.
    • Develop staffing plans; make recommendations regarding actions, including hiring, necessary to maintain balanced work and staffing levels.
    • Create and manage consulting processes:  lead generation, sales, proposal creation and customer services delivery.
    • Develop and control business unit budgets.
    • Develop ways to profitably integrate Energy Services, Facility Services and Technical Services sales proposals, product offerings, processes and procedures.  

    What You Need to Succeed at McKinstry

    • Must have demonstrated proficiency for all the responsibilities of a Director of Regional Operations.
    • Thorough understanding of how sustainability standards and legislation interact to affect specific situations and clients required.
    • Knowledge of government energy initiatives required.
    • Expertise in standards and legislation regarding energy initiatives.
    • Four (4) year college-level training in architecture, architectural engineering, engineering, mechanical/electrical engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience required.
    • Fourteen (14) years of engineering, construction, real estate and/or facility services project management experience required.
    • Advanced knowledge of financial management programs and software required.

    The pay range for this position is $157,900 - $240,100 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A bonus may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
