Job Summary:

Residential Construction Installers will travel with their crew in a company vehicle to residential homes in the area, evaluating and installing home energy upgrades for customers. Performing energy-efficient measures with the highest quality and efficiency. Installations often include changing shower heads, doors, windows, caulking, Smart Thermostats, duct sealing, and portable ACs and other minor home repairs. Provides excellent customer service to all residents and program participants.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ability to climb up and down ladders up to 16 feet.
•  Ability to crawl and crouch in confined spaces.
• Ability to operate hand and power tools such as skill saws, power drills, and utility knifes.
•  Ability to read, analyze, interpret, identify, document, and report information.

Requirements:

• Must be NGAT certified 
• Have a valid California Driver License and a decently clean DMV record.
• Ability to drive a company vehicle.
• High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
• 1 year(s) of building industry carpentry, maintenance, mechanical, and/or Weatherization Specialist training (preferred).
• Previous construction experience (preferred).
• Capable of using hand tools, power tools, and ladders.
• Ability to climb up and down ladders up to 16 feet.
• Ability to read, analyzes, interpret, and identify, document and report information.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to drive, walk, climb, crawl, push, pull, reach, sit, stand, climb ladders, and work with various tools and equipment. Must be able to operate a pallet jack. Can listen, understand, and communicate in writing and verbally. The employee will frequently be required to lift objects up to 50 pounds.
