Energy Dispatch Director directs the real-time operations of energy dispatch centers. Responsible for ongoing transmission and distribution of energy. Being an Energy Dispatch Director aware of generation expectations and is responsible for minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency and economy. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Energy Dispatch Director demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a top management. The Energy Dispatch Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Energy Dispatch Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function.     Evaluate the need for and install energy efficient material in customer homes and businesses per program and company policies and procedures. The Weatherization Installer's start time is 7:30 AM unless otherwise approved and this position reports to the Field Supervisor. Below are some of the primary duties and responsibilities of this position.

    JOB DUTIES:

    • Install or repair general energy conservation devices including minor home repairs.
    • Review combustion safety standards to ensure the home qualifies for measures prior to installation.
    • Perform heating system and hot water heater safety inspections.
    • Perform a variety of repairs such as carpentry, heating, sheet metal, plumbing or other duties relating to the weatherization program or assigned by supervisors.
    • Perform a variety of physical activities including but not limited to lifting up to 60 lbs., working on ladders, working overhead, climbing into attics and crawlspaces, climbing on roofs, crawling in attics, crawlspaces and other tight places.
    • Educate customers on energy conservation measures being installed.
    • Ensure the customer is satisfied with the measures installed prior to leaving the home.
    • Inspect all work to ensure Free Energy quality and installation standards are met.
    • Maintain a clean and valid driver's license and comply with the Free Energy Vehicle Policy.
    • Effectively communicate with supervisors, co-workers, and the public.
    • Communicate with office staff daily to inform of any reschedules and/or inability to contact customer
    • Perform daily maintenance and safety inspections on assigned vehicle.
    • Track material and inventory use as required.
    • Display a responsible and considerate attitude toward the public and good judgment on the job.
    • Always maintaining a clean and neat appearance.
    • Attend meetings and update training as required.
    • Work Saturday and overtime as required
    • Any other duties as assigned.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Use all tools in accordance with manufacturer's instructions and Free Energy safety standards. 2. Use Personal Protective Equipment as needed or required. Report any unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
    • Report all damages to customer, public or Free Energy property to the supervisor immediately.
    • Maintain a neat and organized workspace within the customers home and company vehicle.
    • Take rest and lunch breaks as required daily.
    • Perform all work in accordance Free Energy installation and safety standards.
    • Treat the customer, customer's home and property with respect at all times.
    • Fill out work related papers accurately. This includes time cards and all work-related documents.
    • Never become personally involved or have a private relationship with any customer in any way, even if the customer initiates the activity or relationship.
