Energy Dispatch Director directs the real-time operations of energy dispatch centers. Responsible for ongoing transmission and distribution of energy. Being an Energy Dispatch Director aware of generation expectations and is responsible for minimizing risk and maximizing efficiency and economy. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Energy Dispatch Director demonstrates expertise in a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Typically reports to a top management. The Energy Dispatch Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Energy Dispatch Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Empower Me is seeking dynamic, community-driven, team players ready to hit the ground running in the position of Energy Mentor. Empower Me Energy Mentors promote and implement Empower Me, an energy savings program designed for rural communities in Eastern Skagit County (Minkler, Day Creek, Lyman, Hamilton, Birdsview, Concrete, Van Horn, Rockport, Marblemount towns). Empower Me Energy Mentors are selected based on their roles and influence in these communities. They are trained to help their community reduce their energy usage, and improve home safety, health, and comfort.
The ideal Energy Mentor has experience working with community organizations and understands the unique needs and requirements of their own communities. They are positive, enthusiastic, and able to maintain calm under pressure. The Energy Mentor is well connected within Eastern Skagit’s communities and interested in making an impact through their own networks. This position will be great for someone who is looking to make a little extra money on the side as this is a part time position.
