Overview:
National Floral Supply is a wholesale flower distributor.
We are seeking a skilled Dispatch Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dispatching, scheduling drivers, reviewing route schedules and box counts to each delivery point, communicating with drivers on route and sales team for orders, with accounting department and others on production team.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily dispatch operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
- Coordinate with drivers to optimize routes and schedules
- Utilize transportation management systems to track shipments and update customers on delivery status
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the dispatch process
-Assist with placing hard goods in the warehouse and flow of production of flower products
-Going into flower coolers as needed for assistance with boxes of flowers
Hours: Monday through Friday around 7 am-1 pm. Earlier or later as needed with volume. Weekends during 2 weeks before Mother's Day and Valentine's Day.
Experience:
- Proven experience in dispatching, organizing and record keeping
- Strong communication skills to interact with drivers, customers, and internal teams effectively
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and handle high-pressure situations
