Summary

The HVAC/R Field Supervisor will oversee and support HVAC and refrigeration technicians in their daily tasks, ensuring the delivery of high-quality repairs, adherence to a 95% Composite Service Level Agreement (SLA), and efficiency in operations to facilitate same-day repairs. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, including troubleshooting complex issues, mentoring technicians, assisting in quoting repairs and replacements, and maintaining customer satisfaction.

Essential Duties

• Supervise and provide technical support to HVAC and refrigeration technicians in the field, assisting with maintenance, repairs, and the development of quotes.
• Lead by example in troubleshooting complex refrigeration and HVAC problems, both remotely and on-site.
• Collaborate closely with management and sales teams to provide information for equipment replacement and resolve customer service issues.
• Ensure technicians follow proper operational disciplines, including accurate time posting, job note documentation, and parts ordering.
• Evaluate and report on technician performance, assisting with training and development to enhance skill sets.
• Maintain direct communication with customers, offering updates on service issues, system upgrades, and additional repair recommendations.
• Manage supervisory responsibilities for field technicians, reporting directly to the service manager or branch manager.
• Participate in an on-call rotation schedule for emergency repairs and assist with the service workload as needed.

Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities

• Minimum 12 years of experience in commercial HVAC-R service, with extensive knowledge across a variety of systems and manufacturers.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience supervising a team of technicians.
• Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word) and strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage complex troubleshooting tasks, and mentor technicians.
• Must be able to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting, climbing, and working in extreme weather conditions.
• Flexibility for local and occasional out-of-town travel within Florida.

Licenses & Certifications

• 608 Universal EPA Certification required.
• Valid Florida Driver's License and insurability by CES's carrier.
