Energy Dispatch Supervisor supervises the operations and activities of an energy dispatch control room. Oversees the work of dispatchers and ensures compliance with company policies, practices, and procedures. Being an Energy Dispatch Supervisor requires at least an associate degree. Typically reports to a manager/head of unit. The Energy Dispatch Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. This is a 7 day a week, 365 days a year profession. You will be required to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift. This may include holidays and weekends.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
*Ability to multi-task at an extremely high level
*Answer 911 and 7-digit phone lines in a timely and courteous manner
* Enter information into the Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system in a timely, accurate, and complete manner
* Handle radio communications, while documenting information
* Dispatch appropriate responders (Law Enforcement and/or Fire and/or EMS) via radio, or other approved method, all calls and requests in a timely, accurate, and professional manner
* Enter stolen/wanted/missing information into LINK/NCIC in a timely and accurate manner
* Operate LINK, NCIC, AVIS, NLETS, Criminal History III and other computer system inquiries as requested by Law Enforcement agencies as regulated by applicable Federal, State, and local rules, regulations, statutes, ordinances, policies and operating procedures
* Assist in development of all Standard Operating Procedures
* Handle all communications assigned to the position and assist other telecommunicators as part of the team
* Maintain situational awareness within the Agency while passing of voice and written data to and from other telecommunicators
* Possess the ability to multi-task while listening to radio traffic, phone conversations, and dialog within the radio room
* Other duties as assigned
