Description

Working alongside management, the Dispatcher schedules, manages and ensures the safe and on-time production and delivery of Mack’s precast concrete products. In this position dispatchers act as the on-site customer service representative, performs supervisory responsibilities, and has a willingness to learn new skills. 

Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm

Paid Weekly 

Essential Functions 

• Responsible for scheduling production and delivery in accordance with customers needs
• Leads initiatives focused on the improvement of production scheduling, delivery and customer service
• Acting as onsite customer service representative 
• Perform a wide range of administrative duties
• Ensure a quality customer experience by relaying detailed and accurate information to assist the successful delivery processes
• Serve as the primary scheduling point of contact and liaison with sales, logistics, and manufacturing departments
• Periodically compares current and anticipated orders with available inventory or raw materials; uses judgement to anticipate demand for and to acquire additional supplies as needed
• Integrates sales orders with master schedule; coordinates availability of raw materials, supplies, equipment, and staff as needed to meet delivery dates
• Maintains master distribution schedule for assigned facility, revises as needed and alerts notified staff of schedule changes or delays
• Willingness to develop new skills and progress current skills

Requirements

Supervisory Responsibilities

• May be required to support management in supervisory responsibilities when the opportunity presents itself 

Education and Training

• High School diploma or equivalent

Minimum Qualifications 

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in dispatching in a construction or manufacturing environment preferred 
• Knowledge in manufacturing production and scheduling required 
• Experience in customer service-related support preferred
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to manage multiple operations at once
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Environment Conditions and Physical Strain

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., on occasion
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to squat, crawl and kneel to complete tasks
