Energy Dispatcher, Sr. jobs in Saint Louis, MO

Job purpose

This position creates and manages a positive and productive environment for the transportation department at J&L. Maintaining communication between company dispatcher and drivers to maintain profitability from all logistical aspects.

Duties and responsibilities

• Be punctual when arriving to work and returning from breaks or lunch
• Successfully motivate and be respectful to drivers
• Manage operations in our corporate dispatch office
• Provide excellent customer service by answering the phone, emails, texts and entering orders into the system. Following them to dispatch and invoicing the orders.
• Time tracking & planning for drivers to ensure excellent customer service and management of driver’s time
• Ordering and submitting local permits
• Review and complete driver’s daily paperwork for billing
• Complete all billing by monthly deadline
• Calculate and compete quotes for customers
• Scheduling and dispatch in ITS software
• Load searching and planning for the OTR Drivers
• Work in a steady & safe pace
• Any other duties assigned by Owner

Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED is required

Strong logistical background

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Customer Service, Dispatch and Logistics

• Good computer skills and knowledge with Microsoft, excel and Trailwind software
• Lift up to 25 pounds up to 30% of the time

Working conditions

Working conditions at J&L Contracting, LLC may include normal office conditions, enduring hot weather, standing for extended periods of time on concrete flooring, and lifting objects to waist height and overhead. Sitting for up to 8 hours and standing and walking for up to 4 hours.

Physical requirements

Lift and carry up to 25 pounds up to 30% of the time. When needed wear PPE, maintain a steady pace which may require lifting objects above and/or below the waist.

Seeing: Must able to see to read and follow instructions

Hearing: Must be able to hear to effectively communicate with clients, vendors, and coworkers

Sitting: Must be able to sit for long periods of time

Standing/Walking: Must be able to move about worksite

Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: Must be able to stoop or kneel to pick up products or materials

Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds

Employee will be required to demonstrate continued knowledge of this position’s current regulations and requirements. All employees are required to follow safety standards and wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
