Position Description
Origis Energy is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager or Senior Manager to oversee the accounting and financial reporting functions for Origis Energy Services, a rapidly expanding Operations and Maintenance provider in the United States. The Accounting Manager or Senior Manager position, reporting to the Vice President Financial Reporting, will be responsible for all accounting and financial reporting functions of the Origis Energy Services business unit.

Key Responsibilities
• Manages all accounting functions including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and purchasing.
• Reviews, evaluates and implements accounting systems, policies, and procedures.
• Ensure all financial reports are prepared in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepares and presents financial statements and related reports including but not limited to balance sheets, income statements, cash-flow reports, budgets, and variance analysis.
• Supervises monthly balancing of books and monthly account reviews; prepares and presents monthly financial statements.
• Coordinates annual independent audit and preparation of annual tax documents.
• Directs budget preparation, reviews budget proposals, and prepares necessary supporting documentation and justification for proposed budgets.
• Provides management with timely reviews of the organization’s financial status and progress.
• Monitors receivables to ensure credit risk is mitigated.
• Oversees accounts payable function including but not limited to compliance with expense reporting, capitalization policy, and purchase order procedures.
• Assists with company strategic planning.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 6 years or more of related experience required.
• SAP experience is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of accounting principles is required.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Word and Excel is required.
• Experience with OneStream CPM platform would be an asset.
• Experience in a project-oriented operating environment would be an asset.
• Renewable energy experience would be an asset.
