Energy Manager monitors the organization's energy usage. Develops and implements practices and procedures designed to reduce energy consumption and/or improve efficiency of usage. Being an Energy Manager prepares annual budgets associated with conservation programs. May research alternative/renewable energy technologies and determine their feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Energy Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Energy Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     The overall purpose of the Business Office Manager/HR Manager will be to plan, organize, and implement customer service activities pertaining to nursing home facility, will have knowledge of general accounting/ bookkeeping and billing practices and other financial service issues, and will perform related work as required. The Business Office Manager will require an individual who is dependable, self-sufficient and can easily multi-task.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Set up and maintain financial files for residents: billing, admission papers, state, and Medicare reimbursement documents; coordinate and collect accounts receivable and past-due accounts.
    • Review payment policies and procedures with new admissions and their responsible parties.
    • Complete receipt records, post deposits, run cash receipts batch listings, research/prepare/post adjustments, call in deposits and complete daily check box census spreadsheet every day.
    • Prepare billing for private pay and hospice accounts.
    • Input and maintain payroll system.
    • Ensure that new hires are processed correctly: completing employee background checks, reference checks, check Health care workers' registry.
    • Provide HR support to all employees related to benefits.
    • Track all performance evaluations and corresponding pay scale adjustments.
    • Monitor and report attendance, punctuality, and overtime to Administrator and/or Department Heads.
    • Create and maintain all employee files.
    • Maintain OSHA logs and corresponding reporting requirements.
    • Record and report employee work injuries.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Associate Degree in Accounting or business-related field preferred.
    • 2-3 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections or similar required.
    • 1-3 years of experience in long-term care accounts receivable and working with Medicaid/Medicare a must.
