Energy Manager monitors the organization's energy usage. Develops and implements practices and procedures designed to reduce energy consumption and/or improve efficiency of usage. Being an Energy Manager prepares annual budgets associated with conservation programs. May research alternative/renewable energy technologies and determine their feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Energy Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Energy Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. C-Store Manager

  • Position Summary:

    The C-Store Manager reports directly to the Retail Area Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Vitus retail store; maintaining required inventory levels and ensuring adequate staffing for efficient operations.

    The position requires basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and customer service skills that serve to promote the business.

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Ensure facility is appropriately staffed during company established hours of operation
    • Ensure all staff members are trained in the procedures and polices applicable to their jobs
    • Supervise and train store clerks and manage their respective schedules
    • Direct shift cashier’s work list and ensure list is completed as required
    • Ensure cleanliness of store is maintained
    • Ensure merchandising systems are maintained
    • Place vendor orders as required to maintain packaged goods inventory
    • Ensure cash is properly reconciled on daily basis, communicate with Anchorage Accounting as necessary to maintain reconciliations and accountability
    • Provide local customer support and assist in store customer relation problem resolution
    • Collect store timecards, approve or reject and submit to Anchorage for processing
    • Provide information and store reports as needed by the Anchorage office

    Other Job Responsibilities: 

    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications: 

    • Must be 21 years of age 
    • High school diploma, or equivalent
    • Two (2) years of related experience and/or training

    • Microsoft Office skills; specifically, Outlook, Excel and Word
    • Ability to communicate clearly, verbally and written

    • Ability to deal with a variety of variables in situations where limited standardization exists
    • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, maintain an attention to accuracy and detail

    Education:

    • High school diploma, or equivalent (1 year of directly related work experience may qualify to substitute 1 year of education to meet the education requirement)

    Required Training & Certificates:

    • Attends training sessions, seminars and appropriate educational classes required by department.
    • Computer skills commensurate with program and job applications.

    The noise level in the work environment is usually quite to moderate and may be loud on occasion. Work is usually done in a convenience store setting and sometimes out-of-doors, sometimes in extreme weather conditions, requiring the use of personal protective equipment to include, but not limited to; a reflective vest, steel toed boots, safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, vehicles and equipment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. This position supervises non-exempt staff.
