We're dedicated to enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and scaling up manufacturing to meet the growing demand in the green hydrogen market.

     

    To bolster our efforts, we're seeking a talented and motivated Electrolyzer Procurement Manager to join our newly established H2 Center of Excellence (COE) near Burlington, MA. In this role, you'll focus on ensuring the efficient and cost-effective procurement of an electrolyzer stack and its related components. This position involves collaborating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and overseeing the entire procurement process. The successful candidate will contribute to the organization’s sustainability goals by securing high-quality materials for hydrogen production through electrolysis.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

     

    Strategic Procurement:

    • Develop and execute procurement strategies for electrolyzer stacks, complete systems, components, raw materials, and associated hardware.
    • Identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and negotiate favorable terms.
    • Monitor market trends and technological advancements to inform procurement decisions.
    • Collaborate with wind turbine battery teams to leverage supplier networks.

     

    Supplier Relations:

    • Cultivate strong relationships with existing suppliers and explore new partnerships.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Address supply chain disruptions promptly and proactively.

     

    Cost Management:

    • Analyze pricing structures, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and optimize procurement costs.
    • Implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or reliability.
    • Track budget allocations and report on procurement expenses.

     

    Quality Assurance:

    • Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure purchased materials meet specifications.
    • Establish quality benchmarks and monitor supplier performance.
    • Address quality issues promptly and drive continuous improvement.

     

     

    Risk Mitigation:

    • Develop risk management strategies to address supply chain vulnerabilities.
    • Anticipate potential disruptions (e.g., shortages, geopolitical factors) and devise contingency plans.
    • Collaborate with legal teams to review and negotiate contracts.

     

    Team Leadership:

    • Supervise a team of purchasing professionals, delegating tasks, and providing guidance.

    Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.

     

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
    • Proven procurement experience, preferably in the electrolyzer industry.
    • Strong negotiation skills and ability to cultivate lasting supplier relationships.
    • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
    • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational abilities.
