Energy Manager monitors the organization's energy usage. Develops and implements practices and procedures designed to reduce energy consumption and/or improve efficiency of usage. Being an Energy Manager prepares annual budgets associated with conservation programs. May research alternative/renewable energy technologies and determine their feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Energy Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Energy Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Operations Manager

  • The Operations Manager shall ensure the day-to-day management of projects from inception to completion, scheduling, permitting, utility applications, material quotes, purchasing, work orders, fleet management, safety database, corporate travel, and other responsibilities consistent with Transform Energy’s policy and procedures. The Operations Manager shall oversee and maintain the O&M monitoring operations for Transform Energy including communication with O&M team, scheduling with clients, and other duties as assigned. The Operations Manager works under direction of the Transform Energy’s CEO and Construction Manager. As an “at will” employee, employment may be terminated at any time by the employee or employer with or without notice and with or without cause.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Daily assessment of customer O&M monitoring portals, providing updates and reports to key stakeholders.
    • Prepare O&M performance reports for clients and billing department. (monthly, quarterly, annually)
    • Communicate with customers regarding system notices, prepare work orders and scheduling date and time technicians will provide service or repair.
    • Initiate quotes for renewing monitoring systems, working with finance on sales pricing.
    • Initiate quotes and Purchase Orders for materials procurement as needed.
    • Assist in preparation of client work orders as needed.
    • Create and maintain ownership manuals for new and existing systems.
    • Work with Sales to ensure lead generation/sales hand off process workflow is implemented and runs smoothly to start jobs.
    • Work with Finance Department to ensure billing, financing paperwork, materials and inventory, procurement and project budget tracking.
    • Participate in Operations team meeting providing weekly customer and job updates to senior staff.
    • Set project schedules, and assign crews to jobs to ensure we are meeting all appropriate customer needs and expectations.
    • Prepare and file all permitting, rebate claims, and any and all utility interconnection documentation.
    • Develop work flow processes and assess department for improvement and efficiencies.
    • Manage fleet portal and support corporate travel needs.
    • Assist in maintaining the Safety Compliance Software portal.
    • Additional duties required as needed.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Education: Knowledge of operations, construction project management, solar, and solar knowledge desired. PMP Project Management Professional Certification a plus. Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations or a related field a plus.

    Experience: The individual selected must have (3) three years of management / operations experience including project management, scheduling, purchasing and general management experience.

    MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    PMP Certification a plus.

    Strong customer service experience.

    Previous experience in project coordination/project management required.

    Ability to read solar blue prints and electrical drawings.

    Ability to prioritize projects and daily activities to timely completion.

    Ability to research, source and create solutions for essential function deliverables.

    Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.

    Ability to "go the extra mile".

    Must have a strong work ethic, attendance and sense of urgency.

    Organizational and interpersonal skills.

    Excellent written and verbal communication.

    Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

    Proficient in the use of computer based applications; including Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Project and/or Salesforce.

    Valid CA driver's license and clean driving record required.

    Must be able to successfully complete prescreen background check.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

    Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and present reports.
