Energy Manager monitors the organization's energy usage. Develops and implements practices and procedures designed to reduce energy consumption and/or improve efficiency of usage. Being an Energy Manager prepares annual budgets associated with conservation programs. May research alternative/renewable energy technologies and determine their feasibility and cost-effectiveness. Additionally, Energy Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Energy Manager work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     What You Can Expect

    Over the course of two years, you’ll get hands-on experience, be actively integrated into the day-to-day activities of your teams and gain a deep understanding of Siemens Energy. You'll rapidly build in-depth knowledge, discover solutions, and experience our business first-hand.

    From day one, you will work on substantial projects with three individually designed assignments, including one eight-month international assignment!

    You'll be paired with a dedicated mentor who will guide you through immersive experiences, allowing you to shadow various roles and positions. This support system is designed to empower you to achieve your unique career goals while fostering significant connections with peers and influential business leaders. Additionally, you'll gain access to a wealth of resources geared towards cultivating your professional growth.

    As the Bid Manager for the Digital Grid – IoT & Edge (DG IoE) organization, you are a key to understand customer’s requirements, providing offers, and closing contracts for the region of Americas.

    How You’ll Make an Impact

    • As part of our Graduate Program, you are on the Siemens Energy team. You’ll share our purpose in energizing society by supporting customers with transitioning to a more sustainable world and will work on real global issues, creating solutions that directly make an impact.
    • You are the key figure when it comes to completing bid preparation and management, tendering, and negotiating contracts
    • You structure costs, calculate prices, and negotiate with customers to guarantee our success in the region.
    • You implement comprehensive loss analysis for unsuccessful bids, seeking to gradually improve lessons learned and overall competitiveness.
    • You foster insights into the organization to guarantee constant portfolio improvement and customer-centricity.
    What You Bring
    • You are thrilled by new technologies, you understand IoT, digitalization and automation and you keep an eye on the latest developments in this space
    • Strong drive and understanding of digital technology as well as a customer-centric mentality.
    • Significant practical work experience up to 36 months including knowledge from internships, working student activities or employment.
    • A master's degree, doctoral degree, or equivalent in engineering, power engineering, electrical engineer, or comparable technical education
    • 3 months of international experience gained through studying or working preferred but not required
    • Excellent English skills to work in a multi-cultural environment and be flexible and mobile during the program.
    • Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers.
