    The Tetra Tech Denver Office consists of a 50-person collaboration of dedicated, talented, and passionate colleagues with a keen interest in serving the Colorado water sector.  As a nimble and flexible team, we are empowered to develop our strategy and work closely together to chart a course that combines our client needs with our staff’s capabilities and desires.  This roadmap, coupled with our team commitment to best-in-class client service, provides ample and diverse opportunities when you join our high-performance team. 

      

    The successful candidate will actively participate in the design and coordination of water and wastewater projects for the Denver Water/Wastewater group, will have a desire to take on increasingly complex leadership roles and the capability to develop project management skills and oversight of other disciplines work. Typical work will include a wide variety of municipal, state, and local government projects involving water and wastewater conveyance systems, storage, treatment, and pump stations. The successful candidate will have the skills and drive to work with the marketing team to win work for the Denver Water/Wastewater group.   

     

    Your Role: 

    ·         Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses 

    ·         Prepare detailed engineering reports, construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documents 

    ·         Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects 

    ·         Perform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommend and document design modifications 

    ·         Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and compliant manner 

    ·         Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff engineers, as well as construction support services (field meetings, submittal review, shop drawing reviews, RFIS, etc) 

    ·         Assist with business development  

     

    Qualifications: 

    ·         Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline (focus on water/wastewater preferred) 

    ·         4 years of experience with water and wastewater system design; including the design of pipelines, pumping systems, and/or collection systems 

    ·         Professional Engineer (PE) License in the State of Colorado is required 

    ·         Valid Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record 

    ·         Design experience with alternatives analyses for alignments, pipe materials, valves  

    ·         Excellent technical writing and communication skills; 

    ·         Active membership and participation in water and wastewater professional associations such as RMWEA or RMSAWWA; a plus.  

    ·         Proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D, as well as Microsoft Office software, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project 

    ·         NASSCO PACP Certification preferred 

     

    Salary Range: $82,000-$98,000, depending on experience 

     This requisition will expire on March 20, 2024.
