    Summary:We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Engineering Director to lead and unify our engineering departments across the three businesses. The successful candidate will design and implement standard processes that utilize the latest technology to streamline and accelerate processes, enabling our company to maintain a leading position in the industry.


    This position will require some travel every month.


    Essential Functions: 

    • Synergize Engineering Efforts: Combine and leverage the talents and resources of engineering teams from three distinct businesses, ensuring collaboration and efficiency.
    • Process Innovation: Design, implement, and maintain standard processes that utilize cutting-edge technology to accelerate project timelines and create a competitive advantage.
    • New Product Development: Lead the development of innovative new products, ensuring alignment with market needs and company goals.
    • Old Product Modernization: Spearhead efforts to modernize existing products, enhancing functionality, and aligning with current industry standards.
    • Strategic Leadership: Work closely with senior management and other departments to align engineering strategies with overall corporate goals.
    • Team Development: Foster a culture of excellence within the engineering teams, offering mentorship, training, and opportunities for professional growth.
    • Technical Leadership: Develop and foster an environment of high performing teams for Product Engineers, Process Engineers, and Manufacturing Engineers.
    • Process Improvement: Design & continuously improve robust processes for the design and manufacture of products to leverage best practices and support growth objectives. Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators to measure progress.
    • Support Sales & Technology Teams:Partner with Sales, Quality and Technology Teams to ensure that products and processes are optimized to provide solutions for customer applications.
    • Support Planning Process: Participate in overall strategy development, budgetary and capital planning process for the Engineering departments.
    • Continuous Learning: Take appropriate training programs to assure continuous learning to support company objectives. Foster a continuous learning environment for Engineering departments.

    Requirements

    Competencies and Attributes Needed:

    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven experience in product development and modernization.
    • Strong knowledge of the latest technologies and industry trends.
    • Exceptional communication and team collaboration skills.
    • Experience working in an ESOP or understanding of ESOP principles is a plus.
