Job Description

What will the job look like? 

You will be responsible for: 

• Collaborating with manufacturing operations to perform manufacturing studies and analysis for accuracy of bills of material.
• Creating master data according to specified guidelines.
• Creating or changing Bills of Materials for parts or assemblies by using reference data (engineering drawings, specification, or calculation tools) under the direction of engineers.
• Performing preparation tasks for material cost estimates for parts.
• Interfaces with engineering, purchasing, cost accounting, and plant material planners to ensure correctness of data created.
• Completing Engineering Change Notice (ECN) as assigned

Qualifications

What do you need to succeed?

• High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Requires at least 2 years related experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills .
• Ability to communicate and anticipate needs. 
• Ability to identify root causes. 
• Sense of urgency to complete tasks. 
• Ability to understand engineering documents.
• Experience in systems working with bills of materials.
• Knowledge of engineering change processes is beneficial.
• Effective cross-functional communication skills.

This is an on-site opportunity based out of our corporate office in West Columbia, South Carolina. It will require travel to our Orangeburg, South Carolina manufacturing facility 2x per week with a remote option on Fridays.
