Engineering Aide assists engineers with technical tasks and project support. Sets up equipment and monitors tests and experiments. Being an Engineering Aide observes results, collects data, and compiles summaries and reports. May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with. Additionally, Engineering Aide typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Engineering Aide may require 0-1 year of general work experience. The City of Yankton is currently accepting applications for Engineering Aide in the Public Works Department.
This employee performs basic drafting work, assists in field surveys, inspection of construction projects, provides general assistance in the operation of the Engineering and Inspection divisions on routine assignment and any other given tasks. Preference given to those with practical work experience or technical schooling in drafting and/or surveying. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver's license.
