Engineering Director jobs in Wyoming
Engineering Director plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities and projects within an organization. Ensures all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives. Being an Engineering Director utilizes best practice engineering methods and provides expert technical guidance for engineering initiatives. Incorporates components, materials, and tools that result in cost-effective and quality output. Additionally, Engineering Director manages overall engineering budget and costs. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Typically reports to top management. The Engineering Director manages a departmental sub-function within a broader departmental function. Creates functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develops budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure. To be an Engineering Director typically requires 5+ years of managerial experience. Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function. Job SummaryThe Engineering Instructor will teach engineering sciences and technology and related courses. Duties include curriculum development, use of innovative methodologies, and willingness to integrate technology into classroom and online lessons. Faculty is expected to engage with students inside and outside the classroom, to participate in collegial activity with peers, to participate in on-going professional development, and to be involved with the college governance processes.

Education/Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Engineering and Professional Engineering licensure.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- A proven ability to work in a collegial environment that embraces and encourages the talents of students and colleagues.

- Skills necessary to work with broad spectrum of student abilities
- Dispositional requests: A firm belief in the potential for all students to learn, a passion for teaching, a love of engineering as a discipline

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements- Classroom, Office, Lab, and some Field Settings
- Some evenings and weekends as scheduled

Experience- Experience using technology as an instructional tool
- Experience coordinating activities and purchasing supplies
- Teaching experience preferred
- Experience in various CAD software packages, Surveying, and/or GIS is preferred
- Teaching experience in Geology and Physics or related fields preferred
- Field and/or preparatory lab experience in geology and physics preferred
