Lead the Charge on Major Manufacturing Projects: Project Engineering Manager (Process & Packaging)

Our client, a leading player in the Process & Packaging industry, is seeking a dynamic Project Engineering Manager to join their team. As a PEM, you'll be an integral part of the Engineering Department, supporting critical projects that drive innovation and excellence. Job Title: Project Engineering Manager

Location: Fort Dodge, IA

Pay Range: $ 75-80/hr

What's the Job?

• Manage all aspects of capital projects, including scope, budget, schedule, and resources.
  
• Oversee design, construction, commissioning, and startup of new manufacturing facilities or production lines.
  
• Manage and track project costs, ensuring adherence to budget.
  
• Develop and maintain project schedules, using Primavera P6 or similar software.
  
• Select and manage contractors, ensuring quality and timely project completion.
  
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  
• Ensure project compliance with all safety regulations.
  
• Potential for some international travel at the project's outset.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  
• Minimum 5 years of experience managing multi-million dollar capital projects in the process and packaging industries.
  
• Proven experience in construction management, scheduling, cost planning, cost tracking, stakeholder communication, and commissioning.
  
• Strong understanding of capital project management principles.
  
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  
• Proficient in scheduling software (P6 or Primavera Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
