Leads and develops the engineering team. Additionally, Engineering Manager oversees a robust project management process and delivery timelines to keep projects on schedule and on budget. Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline. Typically reports to a director. The Engineering Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an Engineering Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Total Engineering & Consulting Services, LLC (TEC) is seeking an experienced Engineer to join our team in Norristown, PA.  As an Engineer with TEC, you will be assisting the development of design projects in the water, wastewater, gas, and telecommunications sectors.  
     
    Responsibilities:
    • Assist with preparation of engineering reports, studies, design plans, and cost estimates under supervision of senior staff
    • Be capable of working on multiple and unique assignments simultaneously
    • Perform field work as required to meet project requirements
    • Work on challenging assignments that include investigating and solving engineering and design related issues
    • Have strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Be self-motivated, team oriented and flexible; have the initiative and ability to tackle new projects and challenges daily
    • Prepare federal, state, and local permit applications

    Qualifications:
    • EIT is preferred.  
    • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from ABET accredited institution.
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in the utility design or equivalent
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office software
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
