We're looking for a strong Billing Director that will be responsible for designing, implementing, and enforcing policies and procedures, as well as streamlining effective billing processes across multiple markets.
Essential Functions
- Oversee and streamline billing and collections processes.
- Ensure the company is billing and collecting from customers on a timely basis through all relationships and payment processes.
- Plan and implement quality assurance for all processes.
- Special program/billing planning and implementation
- Personnel development; staff meetings
- Work within the team and collaborate with key stakeholders in engineering/product and operations to develop key reporting to manage and monitor client receivable performance.
- Answer client phone calls to answer billing questions when needed.
- Assists staff with processing payments during high volume periods.
- Leads past-due process for client accounts.
- Supervising, training, and evaluating team members.
- Demonstrate a passion for the company’s mission, vision, and values.
Basic Qualifications
- College degree in accounting/finance/business management preferred.
- Proven experience in reporting, analytics and working with large data sets preferred.
- Experience with implementing a new billing system.
- Proven ability to perform strategic planning and priority setting for a billing department.
- Proven track record for improving process efficiencies and solving problems.
- Hands-on, self-starting, detail-oriented individual who can take ownership of projects and goals.
- Willing to roll up your sleeves and work alongside your team in the details but are able to maintain a strategic stronghold.
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate direct reports.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, and internal personal skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Willing to support others to get the job done even if it’s not your job.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement.
