The Office of Admissions is seeking an Assistant Director of Enrollment Systems
This position is a member of the leadership team within the Office of Admissions , under the guidance of the Dean of Enrollment and the Director of Admissions, the position is responsible for systems and data management for the Undergraduate Admissions Office. The Assistant Director will assist in the design, implementation, and management of the admissions CRM (Technolutions) and will provide expertise and support with maintaining and enhancing processes within ancillary systems (Axiom), in-house technology and the student information system (PowerCampus). The Assistant Director will also oversee data management processes and reporting, creating and managing data integrity and standard operating procedures. Incumbent must possess demonstrated data analysis skills and understand extraction, transformation and loading with respect to data warehousing. Incumbent should have experience with higher education technology. This position will serve as liaison to a number of outside vendors and providers as well as other offices on the campus.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Data Management
Work with data imports and exports; act as a back-up document and application processer for the office. Responsible for de-duplication within the system utilizing in-house software. Build and test imports and resolve issues that arise including interaction with outside entities.
Manage the Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system, which includes data integrity oversight, data extraction, transformation, and loading, and key responsibilities for the development of dashboards and reports, data management and troubleshooting responsibilities. Conduct annual data audit and changeover of applications process.
Designing data architecture and aligning business data needs with systematic data needs.
- Work with and supervise data movement between Slate to Power Campus using Axiom software. Be prepared to identify errors and trouble shoot issues in Slate, Axiom, or Power Campus. Confer with record manager, and data management team for the SIS (Power Campus) on data policies and procedures,
- Work with and supervise data movement and integration between Slate to PowerFaids
Database Development and Configuration Management
Designing, testing, and implementing technical automated workflows using Slate Technolutions software.
Utilizing Graphic user Interface(GUI) and incorporating required formulas with custom SQL.
Testing and implementing software updates. Providing detailed documentation on updates.
Develop, implement, maintain, and perform internal training and “certification” processes regarding CRM use and practices for university staff.
- Streamline admissions operations and application processing through automation and consolidation of systems.
Manage vendor relationships both for data and system architecture purposes. Maintain activity in general Technolutions community to identify and implement better business practices.
Analyzing system data to drive and supporting contract negotiations and technology strategies for Admissions. Exploring processes for new technology as related to admissions functions.
Testing, implementing, and reconfiguring of Slate to accommodate business procedures for admissions, registrars and financial aid offices in alignment with software updates
Subject matter expert in Slate, Excel, and data manipulation for Admissions technology, providing expert advice to senior university decision-makers in strategic process planning and execution.
CRM Technical Support
Troubleshoot technical errors in CRM. If required, work with Technolutions, and Axiom support personnel.
Assist in technical details in support of Admissions activities, such as Application management, Events module registration and support, forms, and other Slate or third party applications including application cycle preparation and maintenance in use by Admissions personnel.
- Design, manage, and maintain all technical aspects of Admissions functionality including help with management and support for international, JBLM, graduate, and certificate programs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
- Expertise in designing and maintaining relational databases, software and hardware lifecycle processes, testing, and updates
- Strong proficiency with admissions / enrollment technology in higher education environment, preferably experience with managing an admissions Slate CRM
- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to end users and other campus stakeholders
- Ability to work closely with teams across the enrollment division to develop and maintain reporting capabilities specific to each team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills;
- Effectively drive business processes through system architecture alignment.
- Ability to analyze data to assess return on investment.
- Sufficient experience in Object Oriented Programming (OOP) languages to support ETL and data loads
- Accomplish tasks within prescribed deadlines and to effectively articulate concerns when deadlines will not be met
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving ability;
- Strong writing, proofing and editing skills using proper English grammar and AP style
- Provides content quality assurance
- Effective project management, organizational (attention to details are essential) and time management skills to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
- Must be self-motivated, energetic, flexible and creative
- Demonstrate strong multicultural knowledge, awareness, and skills needed to perform the tasks of promoting diversity and social justice.

REQUIREMENTS AND/OR CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
- A minimum of two years of experience in admissions operations and/or recruitment;
- Familiarity with using C# and SQL programming languages, and API connectivity
- Experience with data analysis, database management, and web content management
- Experience with project management, collaboration and teamwork
- Successfully pass a criminal background check
- Flexibility to work some evenings and weekends is required
Desired:
- Predictive analytics experience and reporting tools like Tableau
