Home Health Billing Manager

Home Health Billing Manager Job Description:

Our healthcare organization is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Home Health Billing Manager. The Home Health Billing Manager will be responsible for managing the billing and collections team and will ensure the timely and accurate submission of claims to insurance companies and government payers.

Responsibilities:

- Supervising, training, and managing a team of billing professionals

- Ensuring compliant billing practices and adherence to Medicare and other governmental regulations

- Reviewing patient charts and ensuring accurate and timely billing of services rendered

- Verifying insurance eligibility for patients and obtaining prior authorizations when necessary

- Monitoring aging reports and working with payers to resolve any claim issues

- Reconciling accounts and resolving billing discrepancies with payers and patients

- Communicating with patients to resolve any billing concerns

- Developing and implementing strategies to maximize collections and minimize denials

- Preparing and analyzing financial reports related to billing and collections

- Collaborating with other departments to streamline processes and ensure accurate and efficient billing practices

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, accounting, or a related field

- At least 3 years of experience in healthcare billing and collections, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role

- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other government payer requirements and regulations

- Experience with electronic health record and billing software, specifically in the home healthcare industry

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
