Maintains related documents, updates corresponding records and responsible for enrollment and billing query. Your Mission: To spearhead the student recruitment strategy ensuring that families, students, are keenly aware of the unique opportunities that the school presents, to ensure enrollment goals are met, and to facilitate the active involvement of parents throughout their student’s educational experience at Nurses Middle College Charter High School - Capital Region (NursesMC™-CR).
Enrollment: Enhance successful recruitment and outreach efforts to increase interest from prospective students. Cultivate strong relationships in the community and participate in community events for recruiting efforts to attract students/families. Participate in all open house and outreach events held at the NursesMC™-CR or other area schools. Disseminate promotional materials (brochures, fact sheets, etc.) and information about the school to students and families. Communicate and provide updates for prospective students and families. Assist families and students in the application paperwork/enrollment process and provides translation services to families as needed. Provide the required documentation/enrollment forms to the appropriate school leadership/staff regarding all new students.
Withdrawals: Communicate with all families wishing to withdraw. Track and document reasons for withdrawal. Ensure appropriate withdrawal paperwork is completed. Collect all company-issued property.
Community Engagement: Serve as liaison to the school’s family groups (PTO). Actively recruit parents to attend school events including, but not limited to: Parent-teacher conferences; Academic and arts-related school events; Events targeted specifically at parents and families; Family classes focusing on high school-aged children; and Parent learning opportunities. Develop a comprehensive family engagement plan and calendar each year to ensure optimal coordination efforts among all family groups connected to the school. Collaborate with the Director of School Culture and Community to hold new parent/student orientations prior to the start of each school year, plan family workshops and increase parent engagement. Plan and coordinate extracurricular activities for students and families including field trips, celebration events, student clubs, and other activities as needed.
Program Support: Participate in Parent meetings twice per month. Lead school events that encourage community connection to and investment in the school culture and student success, including recognition assemblies, parent workshops, family, and community service events. Effectively communicate with the community to create positive support, understanding, and participation for continued school improvement.
QUALIFICATIONS: Motivated, enthusiastic, mission-driven individual interested in being a key member of a school system team aimed at supporting students to succeed beyond measure and soar into the nursing profession with confidence and ease! Minimum of three (3) years of experience in enrollment work or providing administrative support/customer service or community outreach. Experience in urban charter school setting preferred. Enrollment via enrollment lottery experience preferred. Must be able to work nights and weekends at community events (work week schedule is flexible). Must have reliable transportation. Proficient in PowerSchool. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. Demonstrated ability to support a community of diverse perspectives and cultures in an inclusive environment. Manages time and resources effectively, prioritizing efforts according to organizational goals. Able to work independently with close attention to detail, identifying priorities to meet deadlines. Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication with students, families, community, NursesMC™-CR Business Office, NursesMC™ Business Office and CMO. Current criminal record clearance; Proof of U.S. Citizenship, residency or work visa required.
