AUI is currently seeking a motivated individual to grow with us in our Clearwater office.

Medical Billing Customer Service Representative

The Medical Billing Customer Service Representative is responsible for contacting insurance carriers, patients, and other facilities to obtain information on accounts, and to identify issues and resolve them.

Duties:

• Take and respond to a high volume of calls each day, providing required information to external agents and patients.
• Provide callers with information regarding their statements, and copays, and ensure that any outstanding payments are communicated to them.
• Answer questions regarding insurance coverage, and billing issues.
• Collect information regarding delinquent accounts, and make arrangements for payments, while remaining within the parameters of facility protocols.
• Provide patients with information regarding billing statements and insurance claims.
• Follow up with patients to ensure that they pay their debts on time, providing them with easy payback options.
• Act as team player: collaborate, communicate clearly, and cooperate with AUI (Advanced Urology Institute) team members with focus on mission and goals of AUI.
• Enhances communications by consistently displaying excellent customer service skills in behavior and attitude.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school graduate
• 3 years of customer service experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Medical collections experience preferred
• Professional and compassionate over the phone
