INSURANCE BILLING REPRESENTATIVE (FULL-TIME)

Roane General Hospital in Spencer, WV a 60 bed Critical Access Hospital with 35 SNF/ICF beds, 25 acute care beds, Level IV Trauma Emergency Department, three Rural Health Clinics and a walk-in clinic is currently seeking applicants for a Full-Time Insurance Billing Representative

Qualifications

Applicant’s duties will include submission of claims to Medicare, Medicaid, related Managed-Care organizations and a broad variety of Commercial insurances for the purpose of seeking payment for services performed; verify completeness and accuracy of claims prior to submission with clean claim rate; resolution of claim edits, claim receipt reconciliations and rebilling when necessary and appropriate; resolve insurance accounts when needed through follow-up/discussion with payors to minimize loss of collectible revenue and aid in effective account resolution; escalates claim issues, payor issues, trends, etc. to proper supervisory personnel for resolution.

Preferred applicants will have an Associate degree or certificate in medical billing or insurance coding and at least one-year experience in patient financial services or related healthcare. High school diploma or general education degree (GED or equivalent) required.

The ideal applicant must possess a strong work ethic, good customer service skills, and be a motivated self-starter. The ability to multitask and work in a fast paced environment is essential.
