Pulmonary Associates, P.C. is Seeking an experienced Billing Supervisor to join our longstanding, growing Pulmonary/Sleep/Critical Care medical practice. Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, as well as E&M Guidelines. Knowledge of health insurance benefits, billing processes, and third-party reimbursements is mandatory. Must be familiar with eligibility, benefits, and authorization processes for each type of payor.
This position will be responsible for posting insurance and patient payments, auditing insurance payments for contractual accuracy, monthly invoicing, running monthly reports, working and appealing denials, as well as providing supervision to a Billing Department of four.
The applicant must also be reliable, self-motivated, and be ready to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining great attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. The ideal candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication skills to successfully communicate with patients, insurance carriers, providers, management, and staff. Ability to maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA laws.
Must have a high level of proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and billing software, as well as EMR systems.
