POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT - ENROLLMENT MANAGER - .5 FTE
About Many Rivers Montessori
Many Rivers Montessori was founded in 2014 on Duluth’s hillside, and moved to the Woodland
neighborhood in the fall of 2018. The school enrolls approximately 200 students from sixteen months
through eighth grade. MRM is an inspired community of students, teachers and families coming together
to grow generations of students who can change the world. The foundation of the school’s educational
philosophy is the 100-year-old Montessori method. Many Rivers has experienced eight consecutive years
of enrollment growth.
About the Position
The Enrollment Manager is an integral part of the school’s administrative team and is responsible for
managing all facets of the admissions process in the school’s effort to attract, enroll, and retain a diverse
and dynamic student population.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute to the mission and standards of the school by recruiting and retaining students who
school community.
- Formulate forward-thinking, strategic application, admission, and enrollment policies.
- Report directly to the Head of School and serve as a liaison to the Board of Trustees regarding
- Coordinate four essential elements to ensure a competitive admissions process and the
- admission management (the tracking of prospective students from applicant to enrollment
- student retention
- research (analyzing data that affect enrollment)
- marketing
- Develop a strategic recruitment and communication plan to reach targeted audiences, including
- Work closely with the Business Office.
- Oversee enrollment management budgets.
- Identify potential donors – graduates, parents, the broader community.
- Understand the culture and climate of the school and the broader educational environment.
- Foster high ethical standards, integrity, and respect for colleagues, alumni/ae, parents, and
- Be sensitive to economic, cultural, and other issues present in the enrollment of a diverse student
- Communicate clearly and enthusiastically to all staff and prospective students.
- Update the admissions/financial aid portion of the website each fall
- Update text and other details in TADS/enrollment software
- Lead admissions sessions, whether on site or virtual
- Work with guides and HOS to schedule applicant visits
- Work with the Head of School to plan New Parent Orientation
- Statistical Reporting to NAIS, ISACS, etc.

- Application Acknowledgement
- Welcome Letter
- Phase-in Letter
- Toddler-to-Children’s House Letter
- Social Media
- Exit surveys with families who decline an offer of enrollment or leave prior to graduation
- Other tasks as assigned by the Head of School.
- A bachelor’s degree; master’s degree preferred
- Five to seven years of experience in education, preferably in admissions
- Ability to think critically and creatively
- Proven success in a senior administrative role, preferably working with a board
- Demonstrated leadership qualities
- The ability to work collaboratively with other school community members
- Outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of Montessori education
Specific work hours are to be determined with the head of school, but it is anticipated the Enrollment
Manager will be on site no fewer than three days per week.
Status
- Enrollment Manager is a salaried, exempt position offered on a .5 FTE basis.
- This is a year-round, twelve-month position.
- Predominantly on-site; limited off-site flexibility
- Salary Dependent on Experience
- Retirement Match of 3%
- Paid Sick Time, Holidays and Vacation
- This position could potentially be combined with another position to reach the .8 FTE level at
