About the Role:
As the newest cornerstone of our leadership team at Forest Lake Camp, your voice will not only be heard but revered in all strategic forums. This role gifts you the privilege of being the steward of the Forest Lake Camp brand, a beacon guiding countless families and campers to discover the magic we create each and every summer. Through every newsletter, tweet, post, and story across all social media platforms, you will share Forest Lake Camp’s story with all key constituents; through vibrant open houses and engaging camp fairs, you will establish and cultivate relationships with families who have yet to experience the transformative properties of the Forest Lake Camp program. Your mission is to articulate our story, share it with the appropriate audience, and leave an indelible mark on the hearts of all of our past, current, and prospective families. Responsibilities:
· Strategize and manage all aspects of the summer and family camp’s enrollment and marketing, including family and camper recruitment efforts, and the planning and execution of camp fairs, open houses, on-site tours, and other events.
· In coordination with our Director of Rentals and Events, Strategize and co-manage all aspects of marketing for our rentals and events, including lead generation, client engagement and retention, and website and social media optimization.
· Cultivate and maintain close relationships with all Forest Lake Camp constituents: alumni, staff members, referral agencies, current and prospective rental leads, and current and prospective families.
· Curate and manage all social media accounts, including the Forest Lake Camp website, staying up to date on all new trends and opportunities for growth and more consistent engagement.
· Develop and implement innovative marketing and communication strategies to attract and retain campers, families, and rentals clients.
· Keep all FLC constituents up to date on all relatable and relevant FLC news: facility, property, and program improvements, key staffing updates, alumni spotlights, etc., by crafting and circulating quarterly newsletters and all other relevant communications.
· Keep all FLC marketing materials current, relevant, and available for events. This includes both digital and tangible materials.
· Oversee, manage, and raise awareness of FLC’s brand across all channels of communication, both internally and externally.
· Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and refine strategies.
· Collaborate with camp leadership, aligning marketing efforts with broader camp goals.
· Manage the marketing budget, optimizing resource allocation for maximum impact.
· Focus on lead generation, relationship building, and bringing new families to Forest Lake Camp.
· Engage in strategic meetings with the Forest Lake Camp leadership team.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Marketing, Communications, or Education.
· 3-5 years of experience in school admissions, marketing, or related roles, demonstrating a successful track record.
· In-depth knowledge of brand management and marketing principles.
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring staff, campers, and their families.
· Creative and strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative marketing strategies.
· Proficiency in social media and digital marketing, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and SEO/Google Ads.
· Independent and collaborative work style, leading initiatives from start to finish.
· A passion for the mission and values of Forest Lake Camp.
· Summer camp experience preferred.
· Experience in WordPress and website design a plus.
