Job Description:
The Billing Supervisor is responsible for continuously improving the quality of service provided by the billing team of ReedTMS Logistics. The Billing Supervisor oversees the preparation of statements and bills. They will maintain and ensure maintenance of records related to invoicing and bill payments. This individual will oversee and guide the billing staff to ensure accuracy and resolving inconsistencies as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Oversee Billing Team to ensure accurate timely processing of all invoices.Consults and coordinates with sales, accounts receivable and billing specialists concerning billing procedures to meet client-specific guidelines and requirements.
• Manages paperless and electronic billing processes and rate exceptions
• Runs management reports on demand such as unbilled, outstanding and collected amounts.
• Develops strong leads for within the billing team.
• Monitor and notify claims of any OS&D’s, notate and place carrier pay on hold.
• Creates an environment of collaboration, teamwork, and high morale.
• Training and coaching team to excel at their job and system knowledge.
• Identifies and eliminates recurring problems through better process, policy, and training.
• Leads a motivated team by focusing on goal alignment, empowerment, engagement, and accountability.
• Works with the billing team on KPI’s and goals and maintain up-to-date job descriptions for all assigned team members.
• Logically evaluates and improves workloads assignments to team members.
• Improves billing efficiency by eliminating billing errors and billing backlogs.
• Focusses on ensuring that billing efforts are always striving to be "best in class."
• Develops strong relationships with key operations managers and utilizes these relationships to collaboratively resolve transaction flow issues.
• Works closely with the Billing Manager and actively supports the department improvement agenda.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience: *
EXPERIENCE: *
2-4years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in Accounting preferred, with significant accounting experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite with emphasis on spreadsheet proficiency.
• Works independently and proactively, takes ownership of projects, exercises care with customer/carrier relationships,
• Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and coordinates projects on behalf of accounting leadership team with a focus on accuracy, ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
• Detail oriented, accurate and well-organized individual with strong decision making/problem solving skills
• Interacts with executive, accounting, sales, and freight management team members
• Provide direction and guidance to help team members with job responsibilities
• Share and receive advice and feedback on ideas and best practices to all personnel
• Share and access resources and information
• Focus on accuracy
