Purpose:

Process eligibility applications per systems, procedures, and policies established by the agency. Make eligibility decisions that meet the requirements of Federal Head Start Performance Standards and any local, state, and/or agency policies. Coordinate recruitment efforts to help ensure ample waitlist selection for all sites.

Minimum Requirements:

1. High School diploma, High School Equivalency diploma (HSED) or (GED). 
2. Bilingual skills preferred.
   1. Spanish
3. Minimum of one year of related clerical/administrative experience, with a strong emphasis on record keeping, tracking, and contact with the public preferred.
4. Ability to communicate effectively with families in crisis.
5. Strong computer literacy, database, spreadsheet, and word processing, Internet and e-mail.
6. Must obtain a valid Iowa Driver’s License, and proof of insurance and maintain it throughout the duration of employment.
7. Must be cleared and allowed to work in a childcare setting by the Iowa Department of Human Services, by completing a State of Iowa Criminal History Record Check and FBI National Fingerprint Record Check.
